Blessedness of singleness
Life has stages and each of these stages come with its beautiful lessons and experiences.
One must be very wise and discerning in other to exercise wisdom when at these stages, and never forget the Lord Almighty as the bible says “lean not on your own understanding” Proverbs 3:5. We must involve God at every stage of our life, because again He’s the author and finisher of our life and faith.
We are all bound at one point in our life to be alone or single.
In this era or age where singleness is seen as being weak and not being smart, where does the christian lady or guy seek refuge and comfort from.
Its high time Christian ladies and guys shout it out to the world that being single is a blessing and never a curse.
And may I draw your attention ladies and gentleman, infact singleness prepares one mentally and emotionally to have fellowship with God. In the stage of singleness, the mind is at rest to focus and concentrate. You can take advantage of this stage and build your spiritual life by building a close and intimate relationship with God and your maker.
It disciplines and shapes us. Singleness helps you build a life of personal discipline and values. If you can discipline yourself, others will not discipline you. If can can value yourself, others will value you.
For the young ones, singleness is not the stage to indulge in sex, but a stage to build a well controlled sexual life. It is a difficult thing to do, because of the high feelings and attraction we get during this stage of life, we can do it. The feelings are part of us and we can’t change that but we can control it.
It helps us to be prepared for the next stage of life, that is marriage, because we are able to take good care of ourselves first; love and control ourselves emotionally then we can think of adding a life partner.
Let us use our singleness in a wise manner in other enjoy the blessed fruit in it. Let’s enjoy our singleness but let’s enjoy it with care and love. Singleness is not a curse but a blessing depending on how you live it.
Don’t be worried you are single but learn the lessons in it, and don’t over stay your life of singleness because there are better stages ahead for you.
Ecclesiastes 11:9 (KJV)
Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.
