It is God’s will for us to prosper in all our lives both spiritually and physically, (3 John 2). Man was originally created to have dominion over God’s creation on and around earth; this was my original authority and position. But I lost it through Adam’s transgression, Christ Jesus than became my substitute restoring me to my original place in Him. It is therefore not God’s will for me to be poor or remain poor, because this was what he sent His Son to do for me in His death, burial and resurrection.
My prosperity therefore starts on the inside by the renewal of my mind, because it is the finished work of Christ Jesus. Renewal of mind can only come by meditating on God’s word.
Through this study, I have come to understand how God always yearns and desires us to have more than enough, because God’s character is more than enough. He made provision for me by creating the cattle’s upon the thousand hills, the silver and gold (Haggai 2:8) even before I was born. It is my responsibility therefore to take possession of them and have more than enough.
The purpose for me having more than enough is; to fund God’s great commission and carry His word to the world and, to give to others.
God have given us the wisdom in planning our finances. The four pillars (in no particular) to consider when planning finances are; spending, saving, investing and giving. Another lesson I have learnt is that, debt can only come when I live above my needs and spend on unexpected expenses.
