Victory over Sin. Part 2

Sin, no matter how private we think it may be, always has public consequences. And sin, no matter how “small” we convince ourselves it is, affects our relationship with God. For this reason, Paul said we are not to offer any parts of our bodies for sin’s use.
Instead, Paul instructed us to “yield ourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead.” As we surrender ourselves daily to Christ, He not only gives us power to overcome temptation, He continually works in us to heal our desires. As we grow in Him, we simply no longer want what sin has to offer. As we follow Him, the temptations of sin and death no longer grab our attention.

The Power of Peace

The peace of God is part fruit of the Spirit that holds others together. That is why almost every attack of the enemy is designed to steal our peace first. Satan knows if he can rob us of our peace we will quickly lose our patience, love, faith, and so on. That is why we are told in Philippians 4:7, “And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” As long as we abide in the peace of God, our hearts and minds will remain in Christ Jesus.

Understanding Ministry Gifts

Ministry gifts are people with a divine call, empowered to fit into a particular work. They are gifts given by God Himself through His son. This divine call upon ones life is the anointing or power to to do. Ministry gift is not based on once natural abilities or talents, but on the Power of God.

The Women of old

“A woman is like a tea bag, you can’t tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water.” Eleanor Roosevelt.
Let’s strive and pray to be women of wisdom like Abigail, the wife of Nabal who saved her home instead of tearing it down. With our strength, we can save and build homes, communities, nations and the world at large. Let’s not be okay with how culture and the world is defining us. When we start shinning in own corners, the world will turn it’s attention on us and our impact will recorded in history. A shinning star can never be hidden. All these women had their weaknesses, but they never concentrated on that, but rather turned that into strength and history will always have a place for them in it’s records.
