The blessed life

The blessed life in Christ

Psalm 84:5-7 (KJV)

5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.

6 Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.

7 They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

The bible enumerates the blessings of the person who is in continuous fellowship with the living God and his Son.

The man/woman in constant fellowship with God, becomes one with Him, because his/her heart is tuned to God’s heart. This person has a source of strength greater than his own. As the Apostle Paul said “I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me”, we all need a form of strength and power to help us face the stress and anxieties in our daily activities. People who turn to other sources sometimes lack the knowledge of God’s strength and power which is able to deliver them from their struggles and give them life.

You are blessed when your strength is in the Lord God and your heart longs after his ways.

The heart of the person who has fellowship with God is eager to please Him and to be worthy of the privilege of His fellowship. As a man or woman seeks to please and to win his/her partner continuously, so is the person who has fellowship with God. Being in His presence continually gives you the fulfillment and the joy that your heart desires.

This person also receives an unfailing comfort from God through fellowship. As a broken child always longs for the comfort that emanates from fellowship with his/her parent, so is the man/woman who stays in God’s presence.

When the blessed man/woman finds him/herself in times of trouble and difficulty, he/she is able to discover the blessings in the place of difficulty “the valley of baca”(verse 6). It doesn’t matter how dry the place is or difficult the situation looks, when the blessed person walks through, it become a fountain or well for him/herself and others to drink from for refreshment. Challenges is not an issue for the blessed person, because with the storm of challenges, he/she flies higher with pride.

His/her pool of blessings never runs dry because of the continuous supply of God’s rain in his/her life, business, education, family and upon all that he/she does.

Because the blessed person continually drinks from the well of God’s presence, he/she grows from strength to strength in health, financially, wisdom and in all that is connected to him/her.

Do not lean on your own arm for strength and salvation, but seek God’s presence and His ways continually, in other to enjoy the blessings of/in His presence through a personal relationship and fellowship.
