2 kings 3:1-11
The kingdom of God is all about serving God, men He has ordained to lead us and service to one another.
When we serve in the circular world, we receive rewards for it, so is it in the kingdom of God. No service rendered in the house of God shall go unrewarded.
In the scripture above, we see two forms of servant; one rebellious and the other faithful.
The first of the servant is the king of Moab rebeling against the king of Israel and was punished for it. 2 kings 3:7
7 And he went and sent word to Jehoshaphat king of Judah: “The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me to battle against Moab?” And he said, “I will go. m I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”
Let’s take note that no rebellion shall go unpunished.
The second servant is Elisah serving his master Elijah faithfully. 2 kings 3:10-11
10 Then the king of Israel said, “Alas! o The LORD has called these three kings to give them into the hand of Moab.” 11 And Jehoshaphat said, “Is there no prophet of the LORD here, through whom we may inquire of the LORD?” Then one of the king of Israel’s servants answered,
“Elisha the son of Shaphat is here,
who poured water on the hands of Elijah.”
It took the faithfulness of Elisah in other to be regonized by another faithful servant, that is the servant of the king.
May we receive grace to serve in Jesus name.
