To be Carnal verses to be spiritual

A  carnal christian is one who believes in the existence of God, have received salvation through the death, burial, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ and is filled with the Holy Spirit but does not allow his/her bible base belief control or rule his/her life. And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:1 Whenever we obey the flesh and its desires, we become carnal, this is because our flesh and mind became corrupt after the fall of man. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. Romans 8:7
Our spirit became New after our new birth and with our spirit we contact God by His Spirit. We become spiritual not because of how prayerful we are, our ability to read the scriptures but how we allow our spirit which is one with God’s Spirit to rule over our flesh and to determine how we think, talk and act.
A good and successful leader which I aspire to be, is one who is able lead him/herself. In other words, one who is able to allow his/her bible base beliefs govern his/her thought and flesh first before leading others, that is he/she first practices what he/she says and ask others to do.
The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.  Proverb 12:24
With the above explanation, I have seen that, I’m carnal when it comes to time management. I’m not diligent in performing tasks because I allow my flesh to dictate and rule over pressing tasks I need to perform. Procrastination and laziness is keeps dominating  my spirit making me waste precious time and not redeeming it, as I have been charge by the bible.
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:16
Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Colossians’ 4:5
For this reason I have decided to strive hard in getting my tasks done before each day goes to an end and retire to bed. I have divided and categorize this tasks into three groups that is, family, spiritual and work  for easy measurement and tracking. Not being diligent tends to affect this area, therefore have I decided never to priorities one one over the other. The spiritual life is a life of balance. A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight. Proverb 11:1
In the next two years, putting my life to strict spiritual test, carnality would be a thing of the past because my bible base belief will not just govern my mind, but will affect my speech and action.
