“Learn to keep secrets, until the time is due and the atmosphere is right to speak. You don’t have to say everything happening in your life at the moment. You must first and foremost wait until there is a due season because not every information is for everybody.”, a great friend once said to me.
The Bible says, “A word spoken in due season, how good it is”. There are people you are not to share your past with. In ancient times, when they wanted a king to reveal his secrets, they will find a beautiful lady to seduce the king, get him drunk with wine and she will then proceed to lure him to sleep with her, and will then begin asking all her questions. This is what Delilah did to Samson.
You expose yourselves to atmospheres that rape morality out of you. It is amazing that the people who get you into trouble will later tell other people to come and watch your nakedness.
Genuine people are scarce. You must know the information about your life that is for public consumption because when words leave you, you can’t buy them back. They are gone and sometimes they can produce more disaster than you planned for.
When people are not emotionally stable, you can’t share your secrets with them, you can’t call them destiny associates. Destiny associates are the people you come and talk to, and they build you. Your pain becomes their pain, their cry your cry, even when it does not concern them, they go all out of their way, they love you genuinely, when all men leave you, they will be there.
For some of us, the people we thought that loved us are the people who stabbed us in the back, and the people we thought nothing good will come out of, are the people we are meeting now. When you find the gift of genuine men, don’t be embarrassed to keep that relationship, if it makes you a fool to keep it, do it.
It’s easy to attract fans when you have something to offer, but how many people praise you when they see your scars, these are the genuine people that deserve to be your destiny associate, and it has nothing to do with age.
You will be amazed to see certain people you call childish and see the level of stability and maturity in their lives. We need to be humble before God, many of us are born again, but we are not genuine.
Gain mastery over your tongue.
“I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a brick, while the wicked is before me.” Psalm 39:1.
The devil in our life may be our tongue. Do people really qualify to access your life? A man who has no control over his spirit is like a city whose walls are broken. You must know when to speak. Please, be wise, in this wicked world.
